This Easter was rather special to us all, as it was the first time we spent it together since the children were born. As if that wasn’t enough, my sister’s Italian family-in-law (is that a term?!) also came to visit, which was lovely! I love her brother in law, and there’s a new baby in the family, which always makes me happy.
I’m not going to lie to you and say that having an amazing Italian Mama over for lunch didn’t put any pressure on my modest cooking skills, but as always my trusty Pinterest was there to help. After many hours browsing thousands of pins, this is how it all turned out. Kudos for my sister for piping that beautiful cake, and my very talented brother for making up a bird out of made up chocolate icing! As you can see, I kinda made herby butter. And beet tartar presented in a bed of endives (read with French accent please). It was all yum, and snapped up in an instant. Hurrah!
