We’re pretty sure we’ve found paradise on earth and it’s here in Wanaka, New Zealand. The landscape is breathtakingly beautiful, the atmosphere is peaceful and my little cherub was happy as can be playing with the trees, paddling in the lake (despite yesterday’s light snow!) and scooting the town’s endless lakeside walk.
If it wasn’t on the other side of the world to our families, we might consider setting up camp here, but for now, Wanaka will remain a memory as one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.

Ah, Wanaka is like heaven. It really is beautiful. We went to south island back about 11 years ago now, because the OH has a friend in Arrowtown. We visited Wanaka because his friend’s parents are there, Really stunning.
