Welcome to July’s Snapshots and Scenes, a month we spent being busy wrapping up the school year, getting ready for a big house move, trying to get everything organised in preparation of our Summer break and now, finally – enjoying our holiday!
The first few weeks of July weren’t the most exciting I confess, I was very busy at my day job, my son was busy being moody due to term-exhaustion and we all felt the weight of the world on our shoulders as we waited to exchange on our new house… then I came to Lisbon for a weekend for my lovely cousin’s wedding, we celebrated C’s birthday and trying to sort out house stuff. After a fairly stressful few months, I’m really happy to say that we have exchanged (!) on the date we flew to Portugal, so we’ve been trying to celebrate by relaxing as much as possible in Portugal!
We did also manage to pop to Lincolnshire to see our family, and my boy learnt to skateboard in about 5 minutes on the Brighton seafront! Fingers crossed the weather stays sunny for the rest of our Summer holiday here in Portugal, and toes crossed I’ll be typing my next post from our new house!
