Weekends are made for adventures, big or small, and a few weeks ago we had a memorable one with our good friends and their adorable new puppy, Baloo, in rural Chichester.
Although the forecast for Brighton was a light sprinkling of snow, out in the country we didn’t see a flake and had to settle for the traditional British muddy walk. Wellies on, dog on leash, we embarked on a very sloshy walk in Binderton.
It was a lazy Sunday for us and keeping in mind we had a tired 4 year old and a 3 month old (gorgeous) puppy with us, we just wanted to get enough fresh country air to make it ok to gorge on a roast later on, and we did just so. A nice, wet, amble through the fields, with buddy spotting some sheep grazing, jumping in dozens of puddles, and helping wash the dog in the river (brrr!).
We were home within an hour, and soon enough were in the nearby Anglesey Arms pub having a well-deserved Sunday roast! No pictures I’m afraid, but take my word that it’s one of the best roasts in Sussex!
